The basic recipe for the superior quality and perfection of every Ehrmann product consists of three ingredients: the best raw materials, state-of-the-art processing, and an unbroken chain of control. For only superior and first-class raw materials produce top products.

From day one, we have only processed the best milk that is delivered fresh daily from small farm operations consisting of a maximum of 50 cows. Most of our dairy cows graze on the natural pastures of the Allgäu region; more than 90% of our farmers also have their stocks checked voluntarily by state laboratories prior to delivery to the dairy.

Once the milk has been delivered and tested, it is gently pasteurized and passed through our state-of-the-art production facilities on its way to the final product. These facilities constantly undergo proactive maintenance work. On average, our production facilities are completely replaced every three to four years.

We take several things for granted: complete control of the raw milk using physical, chemical, microbiological and sensory parameters as well as the complete incoming goods inspection of all of the other ingredients which on principle require laboratory certificates and further analysis reports. Consequently, Ehrmann conducts around 5,000 analyses every day.
